Hey! I'm Rachael, Founder of Dig Doggy
Hey Rachael, the owner of this blog!
Here you learn a little about me and my goal for creating this website…
Firstly, I was born and raised in sunny California and for most of my life have either owned or had dogs around me my entire life.
As of writing this, I’m currently the proud owner of 2 beautiful pups named Bella (my Golden Retriever) and Buddy (my 1-year-old Border Collie).
A Little Story About How I Got Started...
Well, as much as I’d like to think I know about dogs, being truthful, there’s still a lot for me to learn. For that reason, I spend quite a lot of my time researching new training techniques, foods to try, and ways of saving money on general maintenance.
This then led me to find a bunch of blogs that didn’t really contain REAL helpful information for pet owners. So of course I decided to take on a new challenge and start writing on topics I felt the internet lacked in my research.
The rest is history!
Since then I’ve made a ton of new friends around the world, learned to write somewhat like a pro whilst learning a ton of new things around taking the best care of pets. To tell you the truth, “I feel blessed”. truthful
What is my goal with this website?
If I said I was absolutely sure where this blog was going I’d be lying! For now, the plan is to share as much valuable information as possible around dog care, training, and supplies.
The general plan is to eventually take this blog to a point where I can eventually do this full-time. That said, there are many other topics I want to cover on various breeds over the next few years.
The great part is that it’s not just me now. In fact, there are another few writers that help me along with the blog in order to keep publishing consistent high-quality content.
You can check out more information on them below!
Here's How I Can Help You...
Being an actual dog owner helps me to understand things a little differently from those that simply do this for money.
My entire team all own and care for dogs and are real people that truly care about the well-being of your dog and the information we put out to help you.
Most products we review are personally tested to give you an insight into how they truly perform in real-life environments with your pet. This helps us to provide unbiased feedback around the good, the bad, and the ugly around products and services available to consumers.
For now, I would encourage you to read some of our guides, and see all the exciting stuff we’ve been getting up to!
