Our Overall #1 Rated Pick

Updated On October 08, 2021

Moosh dog shampoo got rid of (Max) my bulldog’s skin issues that would show up each year during summer. It’s clearly from aloe vera and shea butter content and it also contains Argon Oil which is anti-bacterial and moisturizing too.

This shampoo is the only shampoo I have come across to contain bentonite clay, known for its century-old healing properties.

Which explains why my dog seems to calm down when I use it, as bentonite clay also has calming properties.

What Are The Different Types of Dog Shampoos For Bulldogs?

The different types of dog shampoos for bulldogs include:

      Hypoallergenic Shampoo

Hypoallergenic shampoo is made with ingredients that are usually all-natural to prevent your bulldog from getting an allergy trigger.

      Heavy-Duty Shampoo

Heavy-Duty shampoo usually has more ingredients than most other shampoos and is created for the sole purpose of getting rid of your Bulldog’s germs.

      All-Natural Shampoo

All-natural shampoo is also known as organic or Neem-derived shampoo, which has very few ingredients all derived from nature.

SAYS Medicated shampoos can help you deal with certain problems — like helping to keep away fleas, ease itching, and heal mange. They’re much harder to use, though, for the simple fact that, in order to be at all effective, most have to remain on your dog for ten minutes before rinsing.

What To Look For In A High-Quality Shampoo For Bulldogs:

The most recognizable feature of Max is also what causes me the most stress. Since a bulldog’s skin is folded and loose around their neck and face, bacteria gets into their folds, and.. well, let’s not get too detailed.

Simply put, skin infections, demodectic mange, yeast infections, and allergens can cause inflammation in a bulldog’s skin. It’s far better to choose a moisturizing shampoo that is both deodorizing and hypoallergenic.

Natural ingredients such as aloe vera and oatmeal will effectively cure your dogs itchy skin. Great-smelling shampoo will help keep your dog fresh and fragrant. Hypoallergenic products are also a definite must for your bulldog’s sensitive skin.

Our Reviews Of The Top Shampoos For bulldogs

Pick #1: Moosh Natural Dog Shampoo

Moosh natural dog shampoo not only eliminated my bulldog’s odor but also relieved his dry itchy skin, helped his hot spots, and promotes healthy skin, coat and hair.

Since using Moosh, Max no longer has any allergies.

Ingredients such as bentonite clay, aloe vera, argan oil, and shea butter only tell me that the creators of this Bulldog shampoo really put some thought and care into this product.

      Pros

      Cons

Pick #2: Oatmeal Aloe Natural Pet Shampoo

Oatmeal Aloe works brilliantly on the sensitive folds of a bulldog.

The anti-inflammatory properties of jojoba oil, chamomile, yucca, aloe, and oatmeal all work in combination to heal and encourage healthy growth of the skin and hair.

This shampoo totally soothed my Max’s itchy skin and seems to calm him down. It must’ve been the all-natural materials and no artificial dyes.

      Pros

      Cons

Pick #3: DermabenSs Shampoo For Dogs

When I first got Max, I noticed that between his folds there always seemed to be some moisture.

I tried DermabenSs on him and it turned out that the Benzoyl Peroxide active ingredients had degreasing actions that helped keep Max’s in-between-the-folds clean and germ-free.

This product also contains antiparasitic, antifungal, keratolytic, and keratoplastic qualities from the Salicylic acid.

Or in other words, you could say that this product keeps my little bully nice, clean, and pest-free all in one!

      Pros

      Cons

Pick #4: Curaseb Medicated Shampoo For Dogs

This shampoo contains both ketoconazole and chlorhexidine.

The combination of these two ingredients gets rid of yeast, bacteria, parasites, and fungus.

I also noticed this totally deodorized the folds in my bulldog’s skin

In the summer, when Max has a lot of inflammation and itching, the soothing aloe contained in Curaseb does stop the itching.

Made in the USA, I found that the safety guidelines and very strict quality were totally apparent, as you will soon see for yourself the moment you try out this brand.

      Pros

      Cons

Pick #5: Douxo S3 Calm Shampoo

I’ll be honest. When Max was a puppy, which was like, a year ago, he was a tiny bit hyper.

More than even caring for his skin, this brand seduced me with its title: CALM Shampoo.

What more can a furmom ask for?

Not only will I get a squeaky-clean dog, but he also gets calm in the process of cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised at the way this product delivered its promise.

Max calmed down after his bath and his allergic dermatitis simply faded away after using this shampoo weekly for a month.

      Pros

      Cons

Our Top Pick: Moosh Dog Shampoo

Our top choice of Bulldog shampoo has to be Moosh Natural Dog Shampoo.

This product has left my bully Max smelling sweet, formulated with essential oils and eco-friendly even for streams and lakes.

I mean these people have thought of everything! Keep in mind that bulldogs cleans and groom themselves through licking, making this a really safe product to use.

The soothing aloe vera moisturizes and softens Max’s skin and the added shea butter does wonders for his folds.

Gone are the days of having to deal with any skin issues Max had in the past, thanks to this product.

Final Thoughts On Choosing A Dog shampoo For Bulldogs

Always go for a shampoo that will work well on folds and is made for sensitive skin.

It can be intimidating at first to care for a dog with tons of folds, but once you have a shampoo you like and which works, both you and your little bully can sleep soundly every night, knowing that any skin issues were a thing of the past.

After all, our cute little bullies do deserve the best level of care we can possibly give.
