No matter the breed of your pup, there is guaranteed to be some benefits of them learning new things. I am a parent to a 2-year-old golden retriever (Bella) and she from time to time can be a tad to hyperactive.

Why would you need training for your dog?

Well, There is a combination of different things that I found online on why you would get training for your dog. Of course, there are some reasons that are more obvious than others. However,  a few that I kept coming across are as following:

• Behavioral issues
• pooping/peeing in wrong places
• Hyperactive
• Aggressive
• Learn new tricks
• Tugging on leash

As you can imagine, the list could go on forever. But these seem to be the most common things that I kept seeing popping up time and time again. I personally chose to get training for my dog because of the over-excited behavior in the evenings.

When everything would be ready to settle down in the evening, and I was getting my clothes ready for work. My dog used to think that’s the time to start playing. At first, it didn’t seem to be anything to raise any problems.

But it got worse,  as when I was even getting into bed she would come and jump all over us and want to play long after midnight.

Now, whilst I was out on the hunt looking for dog training classes. I could only seem to find highly expensive local classes that would cost me a lot of time and a lot of money. It almost caused me to avoid getting into any training as it would be so costly to do so.

But things were getting bad at home with my dog chewing up my shoes and behaving overexcited. So it was starting to cause problems with me and my partner. Something had to be done.

So, I was on the lookout and managed to find the answer inside my local gym class. What is another way you might be asking,  right? well, I was thinking the same thing. Turns out that a few other people inside of my insanity class had been through exactly the same problems.

So they recommended me to try out an online course. At first, I was really skeptical,  as you see all of these so-called gurus always giving big tips all over the internet. But I decided I’d give it a go as me and my husband were almost at breaking point.

And do you know what,  the surprising part is it actually worked? That’s the last time I criticize something or someone I don’t know about. It had a price of that was very reasonable of just around $50. I would say that’s pretty reasonable for something that has been life changing!

Dog training questions: What can I expect my dog to learn? 

Well in the first week of taking the course I was able to learn all about attention. So the whole thing was focused on the attention that my dog pays me and vice versa. I personally never knew there was so much weight on attention.

Not just that, but I never knew how attention could change so much.  It then goes on to Communication skills between you and your puppy. This is really good as I felt a really strong bond by using the techniques mentioned inside.

But by the end of the course, I can say that a few of the main techniques that my dog has now learned is:

• Being more obedient
• not to tug on the leash
• potty trained
• not to jump up when told not to
• how to recover meet if I’m in danger
• not to be aggressive

And a few other things that I will leave you to find out for yourself. Overall, I can say that it was definitely a brilliant experience.  And I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for dog obedience training.

I would explore this route first, mainly because it’s the most cost-effective route for you to go down. It allows you to train your dog in your own time and only environment. That way you can still go to work, take the kids to school, and train your dog.

What benefits are there to having a trained dog?

Definitely, I can say that there are a few great benefits to having a trained dog. Firstly you obviously have all the basic commands that a dog needs to know. A bit like the essentials that they must have.

It’s can be some of the more common things such as sit,  stay, jump, roll over, lie down, so on and so forth. These basic commands can be easily overlooked. But it could be the same thing that saves your dog’s life from something is little is taking them out for a walk.

There are tips for all breeds such as rottweiler training, pitbull training and the best part is that its all in-home dog training.

What did the dog training course change?

With a dog trained and obedient it is a lot easier to take them out into any type of environment you may wish. You don’t have to worry about them getting into a fight or harming anyone outside.

It also helps you to understand your dog a little bit better,  so you can see the reasons why they do certain things from time to time. I certainly can say it has done so for me. As well as really giving me a better understanding of how to handle dogs in general.

A dog that returns to you when in a dangerous situation could make all the difference to life or death. Say for example they were going towards a big steep drop on a cliff or running out into the road in front of a car.

A simple stop command could change the whole outcome. This can also help you to establish a stronger bond with your dog. Having a stronger bond with your dog would definitely encourage a better relationship over the longer periods of time.

What can parents learn from dog obedience school?

Like I said earlier dog obedience school has taught me a lot about dogs and how and why they behave in certain ways. One of the first things I can mention is the fact that I always thought Bella’s hyperactivity was down to bad behavior.

I mean, we all know that dogs are very playful and when they happy they Jump Around. But the problem was when she was doing it at night when she knew that everyone was ready for bed. So really understanding of the underpinning reasons why she does it helped me to gain some stronger skills as a parent.

Some of the skills I learned were:

• How to communicate better with my dog
• How to identify her emotions
• How to help other dogs become calm
• How to control angry dogs

There are literally so many benefits inside of learning this that I can’t list them all out. I’m sure you can understand as we would simply be here all day. I wanted to share a tip with you that you can implement today.

So the actual program that I found online was the brain training for dogs program. This was the same course,  that my gym friend had mentioned to me in class. To be honest it has done nothing but wonders in my life. 

From the basics of me not knowing more than straightforward commands. It has taken me all the way up to an advanced level of understanding my dog’s emotions. Not only that,  but it also comes at a great price.

I was more than happy to explore this route when it was suggested to me. Based on the fact that I did not have to put up a lot of cash to get it. So the worst case scenario is if it didn’t work out I would have lost that much money.

If I remember right she has about over 10 years experience in dog training which still leaves me gobsmacked at how it’s under 50 bucks.

But hey,  I can’t complain as it was great for me.  now there’s no guarantee that it will do the same for you, and I believe that if you commit to learning with it then there is no reason why it shouldn’t change your life!
